Are You Getting Any Customers Yet?

If you run a business, the most important thing to think about with SEO is whether it’s bringing you customers through your website. Are people filling out forms, calling you, or making purchases if you have an online store?

If your SEO is bringing in customers, that’s the main focus. Your SEO team might be looking at many other things, but customers are the key.

If you’re not sure where your customers are coming from, you should keep track of them. We have a dashboard where we can see all the forms people fill out and phone calls they make. This helps us know where each customer is coming from.

5 Facts When Your Website Is Seo Optimized

Titles, Descriptions, and Headers

One easy way to check if your website is good for SEO is to look at your page titles, meta descriptions, and headings (H1s). Each page should have keywords you want to rank for.

For example, our web design page is set up for the keyword ‘web design company.’ You can see this keyword in the title at the top of the browser window and in the main headers on the page. If you search ‘web design company’ on Google, you’ll find the same keyword in the title and description on the search results page.

You can check each page on your website like this, or we can use a tool called Screaming Frog to go through your whole site and show you all your titles and descriptions.

Keyword Rankings

If your website is SEO-friendly, it should show up in search results for relevant keywords related to your business. Googling your keywords is one way to check, but it’s not always consistent. We use a tool called SEMRUSH to track the keywords you rank for, how they change over time, and how you compare to your competitors.

Site Speed & Mobile Friendliness

Google likes websites that load fast and work well on mobile devices. They made this even more important with their recent core web vitals update.

In simple terms, an SEO-friendly website should load quickly and work great on phones. Google has tools to test your page speed and mobile-friendliness.

Technical Site Check

Lastly, a well-optimized site should have few technical problems like broken links, 404 errors, large images that slow things down, or other issues. We use SEMRUSH to do a site check and improve its overall health. Most of our clients start with a score below 50%, and we aim to get their site health score above 90%.
